Beginner Ballet

At Prestige Ballroom Dance Studios, we believe in the development of our Youth, and take great pride in being the most elite program in the Akron/Canton area.

Our Beginner Ballet Program is designed to introduce dancers to the fundamentals of ballet, strengthen their bodies while educating dancers on how to care for themselves, and grow in their confidence, poise, and self esteem.

BEGINNER BALLET FAQ:

What time are classes?

Classes will be Tuesday afternoons from 3:30pm until 4:00pm (30 mins).

What age should my child be?

This particular class is geared towards children who are approximately between the ages of 5 and 12. While we gladly accept any aged child, please note that the instruction format will be suitable for a younger audience.

What is the tuition?

Tuition is $47 per month for the first child. Three or more children* in the same household, family max is $141 per month. This will be a monthly, reoccurring charge through June, 2025. Ask your teacher for more details.

What is the dress code?

For the benefit of all dancers, gentlemen are to wear black fitted pants or black shorts with a black or white fitted top . Ladies are to wear ballet leotards with tights. Ladies may also wear a ballet skirt if desired.

NO ATHLETIC ATTIRE OF ANY SORT (ie. leggings, hoodies, t-shirts). CLOTHES SHOULD BE IN GOOD CONDITION AND FREE OF APPARENT WRINKLES, RIPS, OR STAINS.

For the gentleman, hair should be styled out of the face. For the ladies, hair should be secured in a presentable bun or ponytail if hair is not long enough.

Students should wear proper ballet slippers that are secured to their feet and in good repair. Street shoes (ie. Crocs, flip-flops, dirty tennis shoes) are not permitted. Students should bring a second pair of shoes to change into upon arrival. This helps maintain the integrity of the ballroom floor along with the shoes.

Are water bottles permitted?

Students may bring water bottles back to the studio so long as they are in athletic bottles. Bottles with screw-like tops are not permitted in the studio to decrease the chance of spills.

*“Child” is defined as a child living in your household that the same parents are financially responsible for.
